That’ll teach me to tell a good friend I think the buncha killer antibiotics and steroids and whatnot are starting to make me a bit on the paranoid side.  He probably belongs to the AAP. hehehe

It’s Avalon!  Well, ok, it’s Avelox. Close enough. I hope it will make this bronchitis drift away into the mist like Avalon or Camelot, at least.

I could have sat her just feeling sorry for myself.  Then I found out a blogging dog’s human dad, Klaus, died today. Oh yeah, I have no reason to feel sorry for myself, really.  Sometimes I need a reality check, and boy that was a big one.

So I think I’ll ship whining that I’m dizzy and hurty and coughing. I’ll just crawl back Under the Bed and cry some for Klaus.

Well, it isn’t killing me to be sick.  Might have killed me if I’d had my surgery, so yes, this is the best way to go. It’s just a complete pain in the ass because I won’t be able to drive for another 5 to 6 weeks since I can’t have my surgery  today.  And that grinds on my nerves to say the least.

Being trapped her in the house, neither able to walk nor drive away, is very hard on me emotionally. Knowing I’ll continue to be trapped for another 5+ weeks doesn’t help any either. And being sick isn’t exactly cheery either. I’m handling it ok overall, I guess. But I’m having a tough time making lemonade out of all this.

I’ll stop around and say hi when I am awake for a bit more at a time. Thanks for the encouragement in spite of my being a stranger recently.

If you don’t believe that Virginia is in the South, you should believe it when you hear how many accidents there were this morning from a little bit of winter weather.

Virginia State Police Sgt. Tom Cunningham says that troopers in the Richmond region responded to 90 accidents, including 10 with injuries, between 7:50 a.m. and 11 a.m., “and it’s safe to say the vast majority were attributable to the weather.“

Good grief!  There was very little snow/sleet/rain — less than an inch expected total and it’s still coming down — so there was almost nothing on the road that early.  Rush hour is gonna be a mess too.  This is definitely the South: people can’t drive in winter weather (or even rain) to save their necks.

On another note, please send prayers, Reiki, good thoughts, purrs, whatever good things to my friend Astrid’s cat Kashim. He took a stroll across a burner while she had her back turned and burned his paws. Yes, Kashim the cat has a blog that he shares with his brother Othello and sister Salome, so you can go see more about this cutie here.

Come to think of it, prayers and such for the people of the Richmond area to get home safe would be good too. It’s nuts out there.
