A friend on chat this morning said she had too many lemons. She said,
well in fact it is a full blown lemon tree
Yeah. Her long time boyfriend’s 3 month old niece died last night. That’s at least a tree worth of lemons. Maybe two. So on both sides of the ocean we’re boohoo’ing for a little girl who had such a short life. Pass the e-tissues.
Of course, Astrid, being herself, was concerned about putting more on me when things have been so tough for me. It’s ok, though. Just plain old sad, that I can deal with. Insane freaky depression/mania/anxiety from C-PTSD or bipolar, those I don’t do so well with. Sad, well that’s just sad. I can cry and cope.
I’m just sad for all my friend’s lemon tree. That’s all.

If you don’t believe that Virginia is in the South, you should believe it when you hear how many accidents there were this morning from a little bit of winter weather.
Virginia State Police Sgt. Tom Cunningham says that troopers in the Richmond region responded to 90 accidents, including 10 with injuries, between 7:50 a.m. and 11 a.m., “and it’s safe to say the vast majority were attributable to the weather.“
Good grief! There was very little snow/sleet/rain — less than an inch expected total and it’s still coming down — so there was almost nothing on the road that early. Rush hour is gonna be a mess too. This is definitely the South: people can’t drive in winter weather (or even rain) to save their necks.
On another note, please send prayers, Reiki, good thoughts, purrs, whatever good things to my friend Astrid’s cat Kashim. He took a stroll across a burner while she had her back turned and burned his paws.
Yes, Kashim the cat has a blog that he shares with his brother Othello and sister Salome, so you can go see more about this cutie here.
Come to think of it, prayers and such for the people of the Richmond area to get home safe would be good too. It’s nuts out there.

Lemons lemons everywhere and not a curd to eat.
Just talked to the hospital, they’re talking an absurd amount of money just for the hospital for knee surgery. That doesn’t include the surgeon or anesthesiologist. I wonder if it includes the sponges or if I’ll have to pay for those separately. I could live for a year or two on what they want for surgery. Heck at the rate I’m going, 3 or 4.
I should have become a hospital for a career. It pays well. Not sure how you’d sterilize me properly, though. Oh wait, I’ve been sterilized. Isn’t that what they call a complete hysterectomy with salpingo-oophrectomy when they’re not being pc about it? Yeah. Anybody want to use me for a place to have absurdly expensive surgery? hehe
May the Universe save me from our healthcare system.
I just want my knee fixed.

I read over last night’s post because of the comments. I made it sound like my knee only hurts when I go to get groceries or drag trash. I wish! It aches all the time, and often enough gets locked up and hurts like hell just from trying to stand up. Old old old.
But no bats woke me up before dawn this morning. So that is good.
