Insane shootings? "Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry said Monday that an Afghan soldier who shot and killed two U.S. troops the day before outside a top-security prison was mentally ill" I hate to say it, but isn’t it bloody barmy to go around shooting anyone who’s not shooting at you first?
Sunni gov’t vs Iraq gov’t – Uh. If they’re a free nation, let them decide who’s in charge? Freedom sucks in that it allows guys you don’t like in, but that’s the way it has to be in order to be free.
A new video from al Qaeda No. 2 man Ayman al-Zawahiri addresses the issue of setting a timetable for withdrawal of troops from Iraq. — "This bill reflects American failure and frustration," says al-Zawahiri, second-in-command to Osama bin Laden. "However, this bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap." Maybe al-Zawahriri paid Bush to veto the bill? Nothing would surprise me in that arena any more. Except possibly sanity.
